Divorcing & Separating

Parents seek the services of The Relationspace practitioners when they are thinking about separation, have made the decision to separate or are in the process of obtaining a divorce. 

Skilled and expert intervention by a highly experienced professional is critical where children are involved or where children are exposed to parental or intergenerational conflict.

Our interventions assist parents to separate in a way that is dignified and mature and yields the best possible outcome for their children.  Practitioners assist by helping each person involved in the separation to better cope with the challenging feelings and experiences that relationship changes bring.

Our Experts engage with parents individually in a process called Assessment and Feedback.  

This process may involve helping parents communicate information about their separation to their children; opinion on how to devise flexible and child-focused parenting plans in consultation with their lawyer/s and/or mediator or other professional/s  and how to best progress and develop a post-separation parenting relationship.
