Catherine James

Catherine commenced her career as a secondary school science teacher; moving through a brief period of recruitment and onto a role in governance and administrative law with the Government of Canada, based at the Consulate General of Canada in Sydney from 1999 to 2016.

Involved with Relationspace since 2012 her experience in management, digital transformation and leadership has been instrumental in bringing their world-class psychoeducation program, Relationspace Online, to life. More recently, a partnership with LEAP Legal Software is looking to innovate and lead in the space where Family Lawyers have the best opportunity to help their clients.

Catherine oversees the Practice administration and keeps driving momentum for positive change and access to justice for all parents.  She supports the panel of Experts who undertake family assessments and prioritises skill building and development opportunities for the team that run the systems that make The Relationspace so well regarded with Family law practitioners Australia-wide.

Catherine says:  Learning & teaching, education and communication of new ideas have been a focus of my career roles to date.  Bringing an idea like Relationspace Online to a community of good people who find themselves in a difficult life stage is very satisfying.  I know that Relationspace Online is transformational for any parent experiencing a high conflict separation.  The program helps them to get back on track, focus on their parenting and improve the mental health outcomes for their children.  I am very proud of the work we do at The Relationspace.
