Dr Fiona Martin is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in a range of mental health difficulties and disorders. Dr Martin provides Expert report services to the Courts and offers comprehensive psychological assessments of children in the context of family law proceedings. She has training and expertise in Neurodevelopmental disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and conducts cognitive educational assessments and diagnostic assessments for children.

As Chair of the first Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Committee during her time in Federal Parliament, she led an inquiry into Australia’s mental health system and produced key recommendations for reform while also contributing to the Health, Disability (NDIS) and Family Law Committees and inquiry into Family and Domestic Violence.

She holds a B.A (Psych and Government); Grad Dip. Sci. (Psych); PhD (Behavioural Science in Medicine) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and endorsed in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She holds full membership of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) is Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists (FCEDP). She holds membership of Pacifica Congress, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) International Chapter, EMDR Association of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) as well Directorship of FSHD Global Research Foundation and Special Advisor of the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW and her recent appointment in 2024 as Ambassador of Australians for Mental Health.

Offering a range of training workshops and professional development opportunities for a variety of organisations, including the corporate sector, education and health care organisations, she also invites individualised and group supervision to psychologists and training, conference and panel presentations to the Family Law community.
