Dr. Latika Sadashiv
Dr Latika Sadashiv is a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Consultant-in-Training and a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She works in the intersection of attachment, trauma and mental health vulnerabilities. She is interested in how people engage in relationships and relational disconnections, navigate repair of disrupted attachment, and adjust to changes. Her early practice was dedicated to clinical practice within forensic populations, understanding the motivation of violence and sexual offending behaviours, and with forensic patients within tertiary psychiatric facilities.
Dr Latika continues working within FCFCOA as a Court Child Expert, helping separated parents reach agreement on parenting arrangements. Clinically, she works with presentations of neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and mental health vulnerabilities across the lifespan.
Dr Latika is the Director of Child & Family Matters, a private clinic in Brisbane, Qld, offering mental health and parenting support. She is the founding Board member of the Association of Therapeutic Family Law Professionals (TFLP). She has professional affiliations with EMDRAA, FLPA, CPPAQ, IARPP, ISSTD, ISST and Pacifica Congress.
